Your prescription knows more than you think
When you hand over your prescription, you probably think about the numbers that set your lens strength. But those numbers also hold clues about which lens technology will make a real difference to your day.
Starting today, Eyebrowse reads your prescription and recommends specific lens upgrades — not generic upsells, but targeted suggestions based on what your eyes need.
How it works
Our recommendation engine looks at three things in your prescription.
1. Prescription strength (sphere and cylinder)
Stronger prescriptions get more out of high-index lenses, which are thinner, lighter and more comfortable to wear all day. If your sphere is above ±4.00, we'll suggest high-index as a meaningful upgrade, not a luxury extra.
2. Add power (for progressive wearers)
An ADD value on your prescription means you're a candidate for progressive lenses. We look at your ADD power to decide whether a standard progressive or a premium digital progressive will give you the smoothest shift between distances.
3. Asymmetric prescriptions
When your left and right eyes need very different corrections, how the lenses are made matters more. We flag these cases and recommend premium lens materials that reduce the difference in distortion between the two eyes.
What you'll see
In the kiosk checkout or the online shop, after you enter your prescription, a personalized card shows:
- Your recommended lens tier — Standard, Premium or Ultra
- Why it was recommended — specific reasons tied to your prescription
- The price difference — a clear upgrade cost
- What you'd notice — practical, everyday improvements
No pressure, just information
These are suggestions, not requirements. You can always choose standard lenses. But if a $40 blue-light coating upgrade would make screen time noticeably more comfortable for your prescription profile, we think you should know.
The goal isn't to sell you the most expensive option. It's to make sure the right lens technology reaches the people who'll actually benefit from it.
