1. Who We Are
Vision Care Management Inc ("Eyebrowse", "we", "our", or "us") provides AI-guided vision measurement kiosks, web applications, and related services for optometry practices and retail partners.
We act as the data controller for personal information collected directly from website visitors and direct customers. When we handle information on behalf of a practice, optical retailer, lab, or covered entity, we do so as a service provider, processor, or business associate under the applicable written agreement.
This Privacy Policy covers general privacy practices. If a Business Associate Agreement, data processing addendum, order form, or Notice of Privacy Practices applies to a specific deployment, that document controls where it conflicts with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
- Contact details such as name, email address, phone number, and shipping address.
- Prescription data, pupillary distance measurements, and lens preferences supplied by you or your care provider.
- Checkout information handled by secure transaction providers.
- Support communications, feedback, and marketing preferences.
Information collected automatically
- Device telemetry from kiosks, including firmware version, sensor calibration status, and anonymized session identifiers.
- Technical logs and analytics from our web and mobile applications (IP address, browser type, operating system, referring pages, usage timestamps).
- AI capture artifacts such as anonymized facial landmark vectors used to improve measurement accuracy.
- Location data (general geographic region inferred from IP address; precise location only with your consent).
Information from partners
- Order fulfillment updates from optical labs and shipping carriers.
- Identity verification and fraud-prevention signals from payment providers.
- Practice account data (e.g., authorized optometrists, store locations) from our business partners.
3. Biometric Information
Our kiosks and web tools may use camera technology to support pupillary distance (PD), frame-fit, and virtual try-on workflows. This processing is used for optical retail and fitting support, not identity verification.
- Facial geometry data is processed in real-time to extract measurement coordinates; raw images are not stored after processing unless you explicitly consent to save a reference photo.
- We do not use facial recognition for identification purposes. The geometric data extracted cannot be used to identify you.
- Before the camera starts, we present a written notice and obtain your informed consent to facial-geometry capture; if you decline, the camera does not start. For states with biometric or consumer-health-data privacy laws (such as Illinois, Texas, and Washington), we comply with applicable consent, retention, and destruction requirements. See our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy for details.
- You may request deletion of any stored biometric data by contacting info@eyebrowseai.com.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use a small number of first-party cookies. We do not place advertising cookies, and Google Analytics runs on our site without analytics cookies.
We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
What we use
- Essential cookies: Authentication session tokens required to keep you logged in. These are strictly necessary and do not track you across websites.
- Visitor identifier (eb_vid): one first-party cookie holding a random identifier, set for all visitors. It expires about 13 months after your most recent visit. We use it only to recognize a returning browser and to connect a visit to an order placed from it. It is never sold, never shared with third parties, and never used for advertising.
- Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns (e.g., page views, button clicks). It is configured to run without analytics cookies.
What we do NOT use
- We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies.
- We do not use third-party tracking pixels or cross-site trackers.
- We do not build advertising profiles or sell data to ad networks.
- We do not use fingerprinting or any technique to identify you across websites.
Your choices
- You can remove the eb_vid cookie at any time by clearing cookies for this site in your browser. A new random identifier is set on your next visit.
- You may block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Note that blocking essential authentication cookies may prevent you from logging in.
- We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required by law, as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising. We do none of these, so the eb_vid cookie is set whether or not your browser sends a GPC signal.
- Our site does not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals, and the eb_vid cookie is set whether or not your browser sends one.
5. How We Use Personal Information
We process personal information only when we have a legal basis under applicable law (such as consent, performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, protection of vital interests, or legitimate interests pursued by us or a third party).
We do not use prescription data, facial geometry, consumer health data, or protected health information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Delivering core services: providing vision measurements, processing eyewear orders, and managing kiosk sessions.
- Maintaining platform integrity: diagnosing issues, monitoring for abuse, auditing access, and ensuring hardware safety.
- Improving experiences: training and validating AI models, calibrating kiosk sensors, and conducting user research with de-identified data.
- Communicating with you: sending transactional updates, responding to support requests, and delivering marketing communications (where permitted).
- Complying with legal obligations: responding to lawful requests, maintaining records as required, and protecting our legal rights.
6. How We Share Information

We do not sell consumer health data, biometric data, prescription information, or protected health information.
We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We do not permit advertising networks to track individuals across our properties.
We do not monetize user data in any form. Your data exists to serve you, not to be packaged and sold.

15. HIPAA, Consumer Health Data, and Security Practices
Some information we process may be protected health information under HIPAA when handled for a covered entity, and some information may be consumer health data under state privacy laws even when HIPAA does not apply. We treat prescription data, PD measurements, and facial-geometry data as sensitive information.
Where HIPAA applies, we process protected health information under the applicable Business Associate Agreement or other required contract. Where consumer health-data laws apply, our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy provides additional detail.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
